Yes that is in fact what I'm going for :D plus I happen to think my local exotic pet shop has a good deal on a pair and I cannot pass it up. Aside from that I love Lesser Platinums so much that I wouldn't mind having two lol. Also getting that pair means I increase my chances of hitting BEL in a single breeding season as opposed to getting a male, breeding to my norm, hoping for a female, bringing her up to weight and crossing back to her father... I got impatient just writing that! lol I guess I could go super right away and breed out all LP clutches buuttt that means saving up for A LOT longer than I'd like to lol.

Sidenote: Aes_Sidhe... Thanks for the awesome examples! those images provide a pretty clear diff between the genes:)

THANK YOU ALL! I'm loving all the pics, even the butters... someone should work on a new line and call it bread, so when crossed with butters you get bread n butter babies :D

Still same mutation regardless. There are examples of more yellow lessers and more silvery butters and vice versa. The difference is natural variation and difference in parental looks. A darker cinny can influence the looks of the lithium and cinny butter just as much as a lighter cinny. You have to take into account both parental looks and quality. But just because they look slightly different doesn't mean they are different genetic mutations. A citrus pastel looks vastly different from a graziani pastel. Both are still pastels in the end.

There are a variety of looks for a butter. But there is always some sort of equivalent of the lesser as well.

here's a lesser female that is ovulating. you can see how well the lesser retains it's color.

Well said Satomi... there may be a placebo thing going on here, or maybe it's cuz the first time I saw the morph it was a labeled lesser but I find myself more drawn to those labeled as lesser even if it is the SAME exact genetic mutation or two lines of the same mutation lol... AWESOME killer queen :bow: all very, very beautiful snakes!!
