The ideal thing would be to clean it with betadine and then use Silver Sulfadiazine on it, but that is RX only so you would need a trip to the vet. Neosporin (triple antibiotic, same thing) will work as long as it doesn't have pain meds in it but it isn't ideal. It, like all petroleum based products, softens the scales and causes individual scale shedding. So my advice would be, if a vet visit is out of the question, clean with betadine and use the antibiotic ointment sparingly. Try to keep it only on the wounds, and not all over the snake.

I think i got some of that siver stuff from when i was burnt, how would i apply that it dont rub in, but i will be taking him to the vet when we get paid, i wasnt expecting him to be THIS bad my ex never said about him being chewed up

Silver Sulfadiazine is burn cream, so it's quite possible that they gave you some if you were burned. You just put it on like you would use antibiotic ointment...just dab it on and maybe rub it in gently. And I will say snakes are pretty resilient, so now that he's getting proper care he will probably recover just fine.

I usually dilute it until it is tea colored, just to make sure it isn't too strong. Sorry I don't have a better measurement than that...

Also, not sure what you are using in his cage for substrate/bedding, but you may want to use paper towels while this heals. It will make it easier to keep the wounds clean.

Its ok we'll have to make a trip to wally world. i know he has to settle for a week but i dont have much choice on that part but to get him out for his tail the other mark looks healed

I agree with FireStorm that snakes are very resilient when it comes to those types of injuries, as I have found that to be the case as well. Just as long as you are keeping the cage clean, etc., and treating the wounds he should be just fine.

He is a pretty enough snake (I like bees anyway) and I'm really glad to see he is in better hands. :)

Thanks got a better look at the tail and it doesnt seem to be an open wound but hes got a vet visit on friday

I haven't had any problems switching from mice to rats with my balls as long as it's live, mine are picky in the sense they won't eat F/T
