Haha! it's quite alright. I thought maybe there had been a typo! I see the spine and hopefully she'll show me something like this. I've just been told by several people (including the female's own breeder) that because she's a thick girl. it could be hard to miss some of the "sign" especially since this is my first time trying to visualize them.

The other female I'm breeding is 1600g and a petite girl. Everything is easy to see/feel/etc. with her. Sadly, I think she's going to go after this girl in question.

ALSO. The normal was super pissy last night (not sure if it means anything). She hissed at me long and hard and I've NEVER heard her hiss before.

Here is the other virgin girl breeding for me this season. She's very obvious with her signs. She's clearly building. She's got close to quarter sized follicles and looking VERY lumpy today.

looks like she's building, you can't miss the Ovy trust me when they say, you'll know it when you see it, also the spine will protrude and looks almost like a tent in her back...

As mentioned before after ovy it's pointless palpating, but during that time you will be able to count the eggs inside her if you hold her up and let her relax and drape down...

The problem with not missing an ovy is IF she has ovulated, then she would have ovulated when I was out of town for a few days so it's very possible I could have missed it (on the normal girl). I also can't feel her follicles anymore. It's very difficult for me when it used to be pretty easy. As for the draping down, I don't feel comfortable doing that with my girls, that's just me though. I don't want to hurt them.

Now the pastel girl has not ovulated and is clearly building. I've got no question about her. My normal girl looked exactly like this months ago. It's the normal I'm getting mixed reviews on. I still think I'm going to watch her and prepare for eggs just in case those that think she will lay are right. If she's not, then I'm already prepared. I'm more concerned about her either laying eggs or ovulating while I'm on vacation. My family thinks I'm crazy because I've already talked about not going on vacation because of timing.

But if you were expecting a baby missing vacation would be fine, why not when your snake is expecting?

I hope whatever happens finds you prepared and happy.

By the way, the thick thing doesn't work when it comes to that triangle back. My biggest girl is as big around as my bicep, and she was so triangular it looked like you'd cut your hand if you ran it along her spine. She gave me 12 perfect eggs 10 days after the triangle appeared.

And yes, my family just does not understand my need to be home with my snakes babies when they are expecting! 7 days is a long time to be gone! The person in charge of watching my snakes has no idea what to look for in ovulation or what to do if she sees eggs, so I just feel better saying home.

I thought I would update that after much debate, I had my mother help me "dangle" the normal. We were supporting her as best we could and I see three very distinct lumps in her abdomen. We didn't think to get a picture.

Okay everyone, I thought I would give a little update. I had Tabitha out after I got off work tonight and I see a distinctive swell in her body. I'm about 75% sure this is a "building" swell. It's pretty obvious in person but I did get a few pictures of her tonight on my cell phone. I'm sorry they are not the best pictures. I'm actually quite relieved that she probably won't be laying while I'm away. However, I'm not sure how long it will be until she ovulates. Hopefully she'll hold out until I get back from vacation.
