Empirical evidence: Evolution
Egg laying species where the mother incubates the eggs are all capable of opening the eggs. Imagine a chicken pecking a hole to help the babies out. If this system was a better way to ensure the genes get passed on, they would have evolved to do it over the last 230 million years.

Experienced or not, for day 50, that is cut open WAY more than I would. I'm surprised how many blood veins were cut by someone experienced... I hope they make it for you.
That's true, I've cut my very second clutch not long time ago, and didn't cut a single vein (7 eggs). So I'm surprised that someone with experience did :).

I think part of the issue was A. this is your first clutch and B. whoever cut your eggs cut A LOT of veins. The members on here were just concerned for the babies. No one said if you cut on day 50 your babies would die. They only said cutting on day 50 could lead to infection and other issues with having eggs open to air. I would stop harboring negative feelings towards the members here. They were showing CONCERN for your babies. If you are still pissy over the issue, don't tell anyone on here you're cutting and then you won't have an issue.

Re: Cut my eggs on day 50
Firstly, I'm not really "pissy" over the situation, it's more of a smart @** attitude. I'm not upset with anyone on here, and I understood it was concern. I'm sure I would not have put the little face I did if I was being serious. Secondly, which was already stated above, I only asked for opinion on what was in there, not if I should have done what I did or not. I have done my research, and I understood the risks and as much as it would really really suck, I would deal with the consequences, but did not. Will I do it again at day 50? Probably not, I will probably wait till the first one comes out on its own. I am sorry if you took offense to my comments, but I really was just joking in an @** like manner.

I know you asked for opinions on what was in the eggs, but think of it from this perspective (I'm going to exaggerate a little bit to make a point, so don't assume I'm equating this scenario with yours): A woman takes a sexy picture of herself and asks for opinions on what she's wearing. However, in the background, there's a baby crying with a black eye and a guy cooking meth. Would you just give your opinion on what the woman is wearing? Or would you want to say "Hey, that's not the best idea" or perhaps go to the extreme and call the cops.
What happened with you is that when you said you cut at day 50, people saw the potential problems. No one knew if you had done your research and not many knew that someone else with more experience was doing the cutting. So based on only the information that was given, people thought it was something they needed to speak up about in order to ensure that you were well aware of the risk you were taking.
Now, smart alec replies and sarcasm are REALLY hard to pull off over the internet. Frankly, the way you pulled it off wasn't as best as it could be and I certainly didn't catch on to it being a "joke-like manner". Even just a simple smiley face didn't really help (a lot of times sarcastic people use those to further their sarcasm). Just be more careful with what you say, how you say it, and the information you give so maybe this won't happen again.

I'm glad it worked out for you. Because we are early in the season, you may not have seen the threads where there were issues with early cutting. There are many on this forum. Just because it worked out for you this time, doesn't mean it is the right thing to do. For your reference, here are just a few of those posts:

Though no loss, still problems because of cutting:
