Expect this exact question from Mike shortly. You asked for it :P

Amazing story and good on you for being a super awesome friend! She looks absolutely thrilled!

That's probably the cutest thing I've seen all day! What an awesome friend! I myself have an infatuation with pieds/piebalds, so it was amazing to see something like this. Lovely snake, too. x3

    That was so very sweet!

I was waiting for her to start crying, you could tell from the look on her face she did not quite believe what was in the can.

It's wonderful to be able to help a friend realize a dream, even if that dream is to own a snake.

Congratulations to her for both getting her PhD and a new friend!

Karen said she cried when she got the talking teddy bear in the graduation cap/gown from her PhD advisors. But THEY told me she didn't cry when they gave it to her. I think she was just doing that low-level eyes-stinging thing, not outright bawling.

(My friend Todd is a huge, shaved-head, weight-lifter dude from Texas. He actually went out in the hall and sobbed his fool head off after he passed his PhD defense earlier this year. And nobody even gave him a teddy bear or a pet snake. Just a degree he'd seriously started to doubt he'd ever get.)

Wow what an awesome feeling. Finishing your degree and getting a gorgeous snake. I bet she's over the moon. Very awesome of you to give him to her and I wish you the best of luck in your schooling!
