Re: Anyone else still waiting on females to ovy?
I've got two girls breeding. one was a 2000g virgin normal that was paired since October. She's still locking but FINALLY showing signs of building. Lately, she's been laying inverted. I hope I get an ovy soon from her.

The second girl was a 1500g virgin pastel that I just started pairing in January. However, her weight was in the 1400-1500g range FOREVER until last month...now she's 1700g+ and not eating. I hope that's something xD

    What were they all saying?

Everyone's season is late and everyone was relieved to hear it wasn't just them.

While we are on the topic, I like most others, am still waiting for several to ovy, I do have one that should lay by this weekend, and a clutch already in the bater. Of course, the few that I am really wanting to lay are taking their sweet time.

I have a pied that stopped eating back in November, then stopped pairing in February. From my not so expert palpating, she has follicles, but still has a bit of time to go. So my question is, if she still has months to go, but her last pairing being in February, does her chances of reabsorbing/slugging/laying infertle eggs increase? Or should this not be much of a concern since they store sperm anyways?

Last season I had ovy's in March and clear up to September.
If we would have better storms in the winter months we might be able to move our season a little earlier, but we seem to get most of our stormy weather in Jan/Feb and later over the last few seasons.

Guess we're in the same boat, no sign of follicular development [never been any good at palpating anyway...] but positive locks.
I'm still pairing tho, been pairing since Nov 1st 2012...
