Re: can u tell me what kind of do he is?
im not exactly sure on his weight but i do know he weighs just a little more than my son and my son weighs 69lbs
can u tell me what kind of do he is?
He has classic looks of a Pit Bull to me, especially that water-pump handle tail. They say Pit's tails look like they were made from a water pump handle and just stuck on the backside of their bodies X-) he's a cutie, and will likely be your kid's very bestest friend :)
can u tell me what kind of do he is?
P.S. Pitbulls are never papered. They may have documentation from the breeder, but the APBT is not recognized by the AKC UKC or others, bc there is such a large variation in appearance of PBs.

The ADBA that has been registering APBT's since 1909 and YES the UKC registers APBT's, AKC only has Am Staff (show bred relative of APBT). So saying "Pitbulls" are never really papered (when I have APBT's with peds that can be traced back to 1890's) makes you sound very misinformed.

A "classic pit bull" as you referred to them as most certainly do not look like the dog the OP has pictured, and they certainly do not typically weight over 70 pounds. That dogs features and size are very similiar to that of the American Bulldog.
Mis-identification is one of the most prominent factors of the American Pit Bull Terriers demise. Anything with a huge head and a short coat is NOT an APBT. People are too confused nowadays with the 'American Bully' dogs all over the place with their twenty something inch head and bowed out shoulders. Most of the old school original lines of the APBT do not even look like what Joe Q. Public THINKS an APBT looks like today.
And yes, as MrBubblyDrink clarified, the American Pit Bull Terrier has LONG been a registered breed.

Wow, I didn't expect to get such a tongue-lashing and belittling for my opinion and statement. To say I sound misinformed makes you sound misinformed, since Am Staffs and APBTs are actually two different breeds of dogs. I've owned pit bulls for the last 8 years and had to do extensive research on them, since we are a military family and the military has tough restrictions on them. To say that the AKC recognizes Am Staffs has nothing to do with APBTs. As for the APBR, that is an American Pit Bull Registry, and is completely different from 'papering' a full-breed dog. You guys can try to be nasty and talk down to me all you want, but I didn't say anything wrong, nor did I try to cast a bad light on the breed. Get a grip. As for the weight, pardon me for not noticing he was over 70 lbs. yeesh.

My mistake, I'm on my phone and wasn't able to go back and see that you were in fact referring to the ADBA and not the APBR.
