It is horrible that people let him get this bad. He is dehydrated and the sepsis has killed his appetite. I am hoping he will eat on Monday or I may consider having the vet tube feed him.

If he makes a full recovery I am going to be doing a presentation through my local herp society on why proper care is important and tell his story.

I wouldn't say he's doing better just yet, but he is at least getting meds now and I am trying my hardest to hydrate him.

Once he goes back into his tank, he pretty much sits under the heat lamp until we mist, then he moves around some.

Sorry, I kind of feel off the face of the earth and haven't been on in a while. I do have an update on this boy, he seems to be improving. He had his first shed with me. He didn't seem inclined to shed on his own though so into the tub he went and I helped (which he was mostly okay with). He is now strong enough that he can get out of the tub on his own. He hasn't eat for me yet, but I haven't offered recently since he was in shed. I am going to be trying again tomorrow. Please keep your fingers crossed he will eat on his own. :please: He is on his second round of antibiotics but if the changes I am seeing are any indication then they are working. :)

Here are some pictures from tonight:

Just one thing im curious about, partly to improve/check my own knowledge.... So, with the shed you could now confirm that the eyes now did shed, so there are no stuck caps on the eyes?

But the eyes still appear to stick out a bit, what is that about? still problems from the past i guess, do you think it will heal or stay?

anyway, best wishes and greetings from Germany, and when i finally start getting some snakes i will work together with a local reptile sanctuary.

Edit: my plan is that my first ever snake will be a ball python from the reptile sanctuary.
