I primarily advertise on Fauna and Kingsnake, but setting up my website has been the biggest help. Fauna, KS, and even just having my site in my signature line here seems to bring a lot of traffic to the website, though.

Good to know! And people will find them okay outside of the pet section? I guess I never would have thought to look anywhere outside of the pet section.

Test it yourself. Go to your local Craigslist site and search the whole "For Sale" section for python or pythons. See if any come up.

You'll get other ads for non-snake related "python" stuff but you should find a few snake ads. I see most posted in the "general for sale - by owner" section but it's easier to just search all of it.

I would have never thought CL was used by so many people.
When I think of CL, I think of half dead snakes, covered in mites, sitting on top of a heat rock.

    Not to offend anyone :p

I can't vote because I haven't sold any snakes (yet) but I can tell you where i have purchased mine.
Kingsnake and local shows / local reptile board.

I thought the same way about CL but that's where people buy. There are a lot of flakes on CL so you have to be careful and also not get upset at some of the questions. The queries I got from Fauna were more direct and professional but I got the impression that those people were just looking for the best deal. I got more lowball offers from experienced reptile people than newbies.

Actually thats a pretty good idea. Showing a video of all the snakes you have for sale and just saying the prices. Also i like knowing that im buy from someone who takes care of their animals so seeing their setups is a bonus too! :)
