Pied project thoughts

100% Het girl's of size are not cheap- if you can get someone to get up off one at this time of year. Even Normal 100% Het Pied girls 800g+ will set you back $500+ if you are lucky. Colin Weaver has some for $900 with decent size. Add a single gene Morph 100% Het Pied girl and you can double that- and then wait at least 2 years.

I'd get a Pied girl, or Normal 100% Het Pied girl that's ready to go from a reliable breeder and go from there with some 100% Het Pied morph males.

ie: Sizable 0.1 Pied for next season= $1200, 1.0 Pastel 100% Het Pied= $200. You are in at $1400 possibly making Pastel Pieds next year. Find a BIG Normal girl for $150 and put your 1.0 Pied to her this year and make your own 0.1 Het Pieds to hold back. Sell some Het Pied's you don't holdback and get another 0.1 Pied or 100% Het Pied with some size again.

I like having two 0.1 Pieds. A lot of morph 100% Het pieds are selling males much cheaper than females.... some the other way around. Depends on what you want to make.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts but i think i made up my choice. I got some extra money for my birthday(nov 15), and i found a local breeder who has some pastel pied females for sale who said he would give me a great deal, but i still am going to white plains with the thought that i do not have a pastel pied possible lined up. I originally planned a female pied and a morph het female. I thought about it and i decided since i am also saving for a engagement ring for my girlfriend, and a new car, and that i only want to get one more snake before i can start breeding. ball python morphs will come and go and decrease in value over time but being about to put a smile on my girlfriends face when i drop to one knee will be better feeling then expanded my pied project. Since i know my hobby will be around for a long long time, i want to have my girlfriend around longer. And plus since i could always pair my black pastel to a pastel pied i cold get into the pewter pied projects also this way.
