Then go rent a condo. Much more freedom there
. If you have no options but move into an apartment then you have to move into an apartment. Nothing you can do. In surprised your gf's mom even entertained the idea of letting you and her live at the house she inherited. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that happened to me...

My husband and I have lived in apartments for four or five years now, I think. It's not too bad if you get a good management company.

Our apartment right now allows two cats and also allows small, caged, exotic animals. Technically my large boa constrictor isn't allowed, so I put a decorative tablecloth over her cage. I keep two cats, five snakes and two cages of breeding soft fur colonies without issues.

We almost never hear our neighbors except on rare occasions when they slam the door or come thundering up the stairs. We always choose a top floor apartment to avoid having noise above us. Our balcony has a big tree in front of it that gives us complete privacy when we want to go sit outside.

Sometimes an apartment is your best option when you need to save up for a house. You just need to do some research and find a good one.

We have talked and are just going to save for now like out original plan. It just sucks because we were so excited for the new place. We painted the walls the color we wanted, bought a new washer since it lacked on, and put in a lot of hard man hours to try and get it done. Well, at least now I can say I won't be breaking my back for something that isn't mine anymore.
