Only quirk with California is that if the animal isn't on their "acceptable" list they can't be imported. This includes Hedgehogs and ASF.. Ball pythons are fine, though.

X2! This is the perfect case where you need to ask what the animal is feeding on. Sometimes the breeder will say "eating great on ASFs", but in CA, we can't feed ASF. ASF is African Soft Furred rats, btw. Some BPs are picky for those.

You should probably get one snake and see how it goes. If you just go dump money into a rack and 15 snakes to start you might quickly decide that you don't like to clean poop and change water for 15 snakes every day. Plus it's easier to learn this stuff and get husbandry down while you only have one snake. If husbandry is off on a bunch of animals and they all come down with respiratory infections your vet bill might put you in the poor house.

i have a corn snake but cleaning up the poop and stuff isnt a problem for me. i had an iguana once and they have like giant poops lol! and theyre pretty hard to care for so i think ill be able to handle it. i really like just taking care of them i think its fun but i for sure will not start out with 15

I would start by doing what Kaorte said. Get yourself 1 baby female ball python to raise to adulthood. You will learn about her feeding habits, experience their growth, and if anything should happen, you can gain exp from keeping her. After a year with her, you could pick up a male (most likely a morph male and female haha), then after another year raising him up, they'll both most likely be breedable! Then you can determine if you still want to breed, and what you want to breed :gj:.

Are you coming to SoCal, or NorCal?

yes that was my plan. and south. riverside

:) i would just like to thank everyone for actually helping me and giving me good advice and being nice. there have been other forum sites i joined where people just jumped to conclusions i guess and were pretty mean to me and treated me like an idiot who could never learn rather then helping me to be smarter.
