I'm sure it has something to do with the 'inferno' combos coming out of NERD. A lot of their 4,5,6 gene snakes are carrying HGW. Is this smart advertising? Absolutely. People think 'if I get a HGW I can make snakes like that!'
I'm still in the air about the specific influence the gene has on otherwise already astounding animals. Does it contribute? Sure. Is HGW the REASON the NERD 6 bangers are smoking? Unclear to me...
I'd use Enchi to accomplish the same types of patterning mutation that the HGW does.

Rabernet was talking about Womas. Not HGW. Both are two different morphs.
Womas are similar to Spiders.

I second the Pastave's. I hatched 2 this season, but don't see alot around or being worked with.

Het reds for sure, I'd like to get a nice breeder size guy for my hed red looking normal girl. And though a little more popular recently, leopards I think have been neglected. I'd love to have a leopard in my collection :) I admit to not being impressed by yellowbellies on their own but some of their combos.. Mmm..

Fire is underrated? Then why are there 130 different morphs with the gene in it that we know of? Maybe I am looking at it the wrong way but to me an underrated morph is one thats been around for some time and has been used very little. When I hear the term underrated I think that its a title that someone puts to a morph that few people like and many dont... Underrated is such a subjective term. :D I do think that earth tone morphs are underappreciated. I prefer a darker snake than a lighter one but I love em all.

Didn't realize this. They look quite similar in pictures? Is this like the other 'mystery NERD only special hidden genetics in the same genetics' situation/s that have occurred?

I dont think so. Theres definitely something going on. The combos with HGWs look way different than the ones with the normal Womas.

underrated, yes they do amazing combos, I vend at local shows in the pittsburgh area. I work with the fire gene. they don't fly off the table and you can pick up a male for 125 to 175 in my area. my fires are very light in color and clean pattern.
I look at an underrated morph as one that adds so much, but not as easy to sell as they should be even without a high price tag.
