x3. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.

Huge congrats on the eggs! And what a lovely pile too! I really think that Banana/Coral balls are a great investment and very rewarding for you. Seeing how long it took Pieds to hit under the $1000 range, I'd say that this morph definitely has viability and security without getting 'overproduced' anytime soon. Especially with you holding onto a beautiful girl like that! :gj:

Please do share these pricelists that you are talking about! Everyone I have seen has females listed at $10,000 for just a Banana, $12,500 or so for Pastel Bananas and going up from there. And I haven't seen a single Banana male listed for anything under $25K.
We will all be waiting for these pricelists you are referring to!:gj:

You know, I think I SAW that female for sale a few years ago at a show, I can't remember where, either Anaheim or Mesa. I remember walking away, shaking my head, because she blew everything else for sale that year clear out of the water.

It's kind of neat seeing her as an adult now, on eggs.

Dave, you and I know better. In fact, ALL of the bigger breeders and those that have been around for years that have access to wholesale price lists from the U.S. know better.
Not going to let the "secret" out, (I have a great deal of respect for both you and what you're doing for the hobby) but I know what bananas are really selling for. For that reason, I wouldn't touch bananas with a ten foot pole. The guys (like Dave) who have amazing double, triple and maybe even quad banana projects going on and is still selling banana stuff retail, good for him, but with what they're selling for wholesale, is a wonderful indication that the banana market is about to bottom out.

As for the "regular" breeder (no offense, 99% of you guys) getting access to these higher end breeder price lists, probably not going to happen.

Josh; you keep looking on Kingsnake for your prices, and you'll pay retail for everything. With just over 100 posts here, I'm guessing you're very new to the hobby and maybe not even breeding yet. I forgive your ignorance.
If you're "in the know" (I know, I'm using a tonne of parentheses and quotes, sorry) and have the right connections, you can get banana stuff (or ANY morph for that matter) for **% the advertised "retail" price.
The general newbie breeder group would be floored to see the prices on these wholesale lists. Of anything. Floored.

Perhaps not here, as it is de-railing this thread and distracting away from the topic at hand, but... I'd love to see you post a screenshot or two of these pricelists which you have access to. Of course, blur the obvious information to protect the seller and ensure you aren't dragging them into this, but I'd love to see what kind of 'special' prices you have access to. As it is, you talk down to a lot of people and tend to act like you know what's best. I can respect experience, but there are times I'd love to see someone back up their claims in addition to just telling us the information they have. As you can imagine, people on the internet can make any sort of claim due to the nature of the internet. If what you say is true, feel free to add a grain of truth to your claim by showing us some of the 'inside' stuff you have access to.

By blurring the person's information, we won't be able to contact them about these prices. However, at least we would see what it is you're referring to.

And if you can't do that, then unfortunately, I'm going to have to continue taking what you're saying with a large grain of salt. It is the internet, after all. :)

If you were meant to be on the mailing list to get these wholesale lists, you would have one already.
I simply will not post a list for the general public to see, sorry.
You guys can believe of me what you want, but I'm not going to jeopardize my 10+ year business relationships with these breeders just so you can all have a peek.
Believe what you want and enjoy paying retail.

I do not breed, therefore I do not need access to the list. So that is fine with me.

I will continue to take what you say with a grain of salt :) It was merely a curiosity, and wondering if you could back up your claims.
