    This is one among many I produced this year

    This is why I along with Kevin earlier, and other Blood and Short Tailed Python breeders advocate buying CBB from the breeder.

    Unfortunately there are a handful of people selling farmed animals that have practically zero chance of turning red.

    Spend your money with the breeders who have put forth the effort and time to produce the nicest they can.

    I can't wait to work with bloods/short tails. A Sumatran short tail will be my first purchase when I get the ability to own more snakes. Preferable a chrome head.

    I don't keep my two bloods in my 28 or 34qt rack with the balls simply because the hot spots are too hot for them IMO. I have them in a room that stays at ~80 degrees ambient so I don't even give them a hot spot. In my experience with my two they like a little cooler temps so I don't keep them as warm as my other pythons. They digest just fine in the ambient temp without a hot spot too.
