Re: Day 50 I think I may have to.
I would cut on day 55 at that temp. eggs under that pressure, with no dimpling means no air pocket inside that egg. yes they can and usually will pip by themselves. but why risk it, day 55 they are full termed, I just cut one egg that was like that and I couldn't even pinch it. when I made the cut a lot of fluid came out, which is what I wanted. you don't have to make a big opening in the egg. just so you know that there's a slight air pocket and the hatchling can get out safely. good luck don

Should I cut an air pocket now or on day 55?

Re: Day 50 I think I may have to.
I would cut day 54 , 55 not much sooner, candle the egg to see where the best spot to cut on top. trying to miss the larger veins. if you get some blood, don't worry the hatchling will be ok. try not to go in too deep. make sure that the tub isn't air tight. they will be needing air. the humidity at this point isn't as important. good luck with the clutch and keep us updated, don

As long as you keep an eye on them, keep them wet, and keep them clean day 52 is fine. If you can't keep an eye on them and check them at least once a day I'd wait a few more days.

Oh I sure can keep a close eye on them.
The veins are coming to the thinning out phase. All the blood is going and staying in the baby's more
I think by day 55 they may pip on their own.
But that's more wishful thinking than anything. ;)
