Re: Balls and Other Pets
I'm new to this forum but we have two dogs (a poodle/terrier/chihuahua mix named Cujo and a German Shepherd/Cattle Dog named Bear), two cats (Carmella and Smokie), two betta fish, a crested gecko and five ball pythons (Nacho, Spaz, Ava, Dream, and Loci). I am a huge animal lover and if I had my own place it would most likely become a farm of German Shepherds, Huskies, and ball pythons.

I have a 1 year old cat who is very intent on chewing my snakes up. I've had to put reinforced locks on my rack. Then I have a 1 year old rat terrier and I have no clue how he'd react to them. He's crate trained and he stays in there whenever I have a snake out. My mom has a silky terrier and it's the same deal for her.

Ok, a dog, cats, parrot, chickens, uromastyx, anoles, guinea pigs, rats (pet and feeder)asf's, leopard geckos, beardie, bps, and a boa. That is just current residents, not who we have had in the past. Add them on and it adds rabbits, parakeets, hamsters, a corn, turtles, frogs (tree and whites dumpy), fish (fresh water, brackish, and saltwater). Imo, the cats, large breed dog, and snakes are hands down the easiest and least amount of work. But love them all. :). And nobody is around the snakes, or the occasional cat who lingers in the distance, because I won't let them get to close. My dang kitten likes to jump in open tubs when I am cleaning. Thankfully snakes aren't in when I am cleaning. Kitten just thinks she is ninja kitten. :D

My dog Bowser knows the drill. He's dressed for it.

He likes to watch the snakes sometimes.

he actually is indifferent to all of them except our 4.25 ft male bp Jasper...bowser always wants to play with him! We'll bring him out and bowser wags his tail and sniffs and does the "front paws down" to play. It's pretty cute.

Re: Balls and Other Pets
Along with my ball python "Joker" I have a bearded dragon "Pumpkin", an English Bulldog "Jbaby" and a Boston Terrier "Rocco". When my snake or dragon goes to check out either one of my dogs, they will walk away and turn their head. They want nothing to do with the reptiles. lol

Re: Balls and Other Pets
I have 2 dogs, and 4 cats (all rescued animals) and they are really good. They don't seem to care about the snakes at all.
Only when I feed the snakes do the cats smell the mice and walk around meowing as if to say, "well where is my mouse?" LOL
I keep an eye on the cats when I have a snake out, but they haven't ever come close.

Lets see, 3 dogs, a Rottweiler, German Shepard and a Maltese/poodle, 9 ball pythons with 12 eggs, 2 boas, 1 red ear slider. A 60g tank with the turtle and guppies, a 18g tank of endlers. 2 hens and a shed full of rats, mice, gerbils, ASFs and a lone spiny mouse. I think that is everything atm... No one really cares about the snakes, but I haven't let them socialize either.
