theres seriously nothing in this world i love more than sitting back to a good acoustic guitar player. i love listening to dave matthews when he's got tim reynolds (god of the 6-string) playing with him. janis joplin is sweet, phish is sweet, but i also like a lot of mainstream crap like rap, i.e. eminem, wu-tang clan, mobb deep... i also like the newer rock bands, like incubus and hoobastank... but then there is this side of me (usually when i'm a couple sheets to the wind), that all i want to hear is classic rock. zeppelin, hendrix, pink floyd, steppenwolf, r.e.o. speedwagon, CCR, and all of that good stuff. if i don't stop talking now, i'll never shut up. music is my life.

Thanks, Smynx. I got tired of the old one. :)

Will, it seems we'd probably do okay listening to music together, except that Dave Matthews bit. He just sounds so whiny to me, and I get enough of that from my kids. ;)

Godsmack is the best, followed by Disturbed, NIN, etc.

yeah you kinda gotta aquire a taste for his music. once you learn how to understand what he says (which takes years), its golden.

That's perfectly respectable Will. There is something transcendent about a skillfully played acoustic guitar. Likewise, I can't think of anything better than Tori wailing away on a grand piano with Mark Chamberlain working the drums behind her.

Also, Yea to Incubus, Zepplin, and Hendrix.

I can listen to almost anything and enjoy it. It all depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I'm in a NIN, TOOL, Marilyn Manson, etc., type mood; then other times I'm in a Britney Spears mood. (I told you I like everything, heh)...

Randy, I'm with ya on the Godsmack. My kids don't get it, but you can't take musical critique seriously from Hanson fans.

Will, I'll try to take your word for it. I don't have a problem with the music or the lyrics; it's just the vocals themselves.

Tori is an excellent pianist. I sometimes wish I had kept at it when I was younger whenever her songs come on the radio.. Mark Chamberlain is the man on the drums, but he still can't touch Carter Beauford (dave's drummer)... Btw guys, i play a little guitar and drums myself. I've been recording short clips for years, but haven't ever thought to share them. Recently I've decided to create a small site just to store my music, and to share with those who are interested. I'll definitely post it when I get it up so those who would like to hear it, can.
