He looks pretty friendly the way he peers at the camera. He might actually be an escaped pet. Anybody know a good way to tell the difference? Do captive corns act very different from wild caught ones?

If he's wild-caught, he'll probably be much, much happier staying wild. If he's an escapee, you can offer him a safer, longer life... but wild-caught adults tend to stress in captivity. And the quarantine issue is a big one.

In my experience wild corns will only tag once if at all when reaching towards them. After they're in you hands they tend to be docile. I'd venture to guess you have a thriving, wild corn there.

Yep he's defintlay a corn, normal or classic. So most likey a wild corn :)
Corns are pretty docile wild or domesticated. He would be happy keeping the rodents out of your shed :)

should keep him for a few days, like someone else said he could be someone else's lost corn...

Maybe you should ask around before releasing or if he is wild IMO you should let him go! :)

I vote to let go and buy a cb. About 5 years ago I had found one in my garage. It did well for a month and ate at any feeding. Then it got an attitude but only towards me. Numerous friends would handle him fine but ANY time I was within reach it would bite me. It never bit anyone else. My friend thought it was hysterical!
