Possible New Owner

I have had tubs for 6 months and never ever ever had a problem with mold or too much moisture. They are way better then a tank. If your tub gets moldy you are doing something wrong.

Small is good, remember BPs like to feel secure and tubs give that over a wide open fish tank. They don't collect moisture as long as you have the proper amount of holes in the tub, which are easily added with a soldering iron or dremel tool. If you do go with a tank though black construction paper works just as good as the fancy fish backgrounds and is much cheaper to black out the sides for security.

is there anything I can baith my Snake with? Like I do suffer from allot of allergies including respiratory asthma (allergy related) I am just thinking when he becomes dirty gross like every 3 months or so is their soaps I can use?

They don't get 'dirty' per say. Just clean their tank when they mess, they shed periodically which is a clean new skin. But I've never heard of anyone having a snake allergen or if one even exists. They don't suggest baths honestly and NO SOAP! A short soak after a bad shed is about it and that is only if they have a lot of shed left on them and they need help getting it off of them

Some advice from a new owner who definitely made mistakes. (also i didnt read every reply so sry if i repeat).

You mentioned you know a BP owner already. Learn husbandry BEFORE you get your snake. Have your cage setup before you get the snake. Make sure you have everything you will need on hand so you arent scrambling to get things u didnt know about like i did.
I made many mistakes starting from buying the day i got the urge. I didnt ask any proper questions at the pet store and didnt get any info on husbandry when they sold it to me. I couldnt get him to eat for almost 3 weeks because i handled him far to much, not enough hides, and no humidity control at all. after 2 weeks and repeated visits to the pet store i started getting and reading books and forums. Hes eating very well now, has a nice enclosure with proper husbandry. I hope at the very least you get a book and read up or talk to current owners and get a very detailed idea of what your in for. I wish you the best of luck and hope you dont make my mistakes.

He will be shedding more often than that, so that should take care of any small dirt. If he actually gets dirty you can soak him, there are stickies about it label "stuck shed" just be careful, it isn't good for their skin.

Its ok about repeating yourself, At the moment my mother inlaw owns one. I play with her daily usually, As I have not got one of yet I am hoping to get one for my birthday which is july 1st. I am Unsure if we need to use lamps as I live in Colorado so it gets very hot here. The humidity Control I think I would have more trouble with controlling honestly I don't know how I could. If I do get one I will be going to Scales and Tails and going get coconut shell stuff for shavings (not actually shell but the shaving stuff)

Yes I remember hearing about those Sticky things for bad sheds, and if I recall right if it gets stuck on their eye you need to take to the vet. Is there an Adhesive thats not good for them in the sticky stuff?

It's best to just leave a stuck eyecap alone, you or even a vet can end up injuring the snake. Sometimes they will work it off if you put them in a wet pillowcase with a towel. Otherwise it will come off with the next shed. I'm not sure what you are talking about with safe adhesive...
