    First thing that came to mind when I read this thread title was mites.... Ick. When you soak use a drop of dawn dishsoap in the water too. *knock on wood* I have not personally had to deal with mites, so I could not say first hand. I do know that I have read to make sure you follow directions on the Pam EXACTLY, though. I have also read about people putting flea powder for dogs on the floor around your snake area, so any eggs that drop when you are in and out can't survive. Good luck with your battle.
