Re: She laied!!!!!
Thank you guys so much those pictures are really helpful. I have a picture of my female and the White diamond male locking and i've matched certain patterns she has towards her tail so I'm 100% sure its legit. I've just never seen a russo and dont know much about the gene.. but thanks to you guys now I do! Thanks again for being so helpful I appreciate it

They're going for about the same as Lessers based on gender. It's not so much that they aren't popular, there just aren't as many out there. Their potential hasn't fully been seen I believe. Look up the Opal Diamond. It's gorgeous.
There haven't been too many combos made yet either as far as I know. They are also a lightening gene and brighten anything they are combined with.
I'm surprised the price of a Russo isn't up there with Mystics and Phantoms considering they create similar morphs.

Of course we know with breeding this male in particular there won't ever be any normals since it is the super form. It's good to see comparative photos though. Especially if they ever breed a single gene Russo, or say, a Russo combo that isn't a Leucistic. Then they'd have the chance of getting normals.
My post is not for people who have "dinkers" of unknown origin. It is for someone who is working with the gene and will be seeing these babies a lot now. The colors of a baby Russo look like candy. I don't consider myself an expert at anything but I have never had the slightest problem picking out Russos from my clutches.

Like I said, to the untrained eye, they may just look like normals. That goes for Mocha's, Special's, Phantom's, even some Mystic's.
You work with Russo's so you know what to look for, the OP hasn't worked with them yet so they don't exactly know what to expect.
Believe me I have seen plenty of "normals" that could pass for some of those subtle morphs (and it may very well had been one of them) but it was being sold as a normal.
I can almost guarantee that if the OP hadn't known what was bred to their female, they would just have assumed that what popped out was normals. And this is only because they don't have prior knowledge on the het. Russo's, where as someone like yourself would instantly see something going on.

True story.

Yep, I'm very unfamiliar with Russos, and I had trouble distinguishing the Russo in that third photo, even after knowing what to look for! (The one on the far right also looked pretty light, see..). I'm used to picking out aberrant ball pythons, and Russo is a pretty subtle one!
Subtle morphs make me squint, but I'm learning, lol.
