Brendon Smalls does have a rather monotone voice, doesn't he? I've learned to tune vocals like that out by growing up listening to bands like Cannibal Corpse. It helps that I have always been more "band" motivated and tend to focus more on guitar, drums and bass over vocals. I enjoy growling vocals, but they have to be well done growling and follow a vocal melody, not just monotone grunting seeing how low they can go.

Lmao. I fully admit that music-wise only they are not the greatest band ever but I like the whole package all together, I find the whole concept hilarious

I could never get into Cannibal Corpse, I found it much too noisy. I may well have been listening to the wrong songs by them though.

monotone is an understatement. that crap is so weak i could get my little sister to sleep by having her listen to it.

I appreciate growling too but like you said it has to have some range to it. I also like a mix of growling, singing, and shouting. Not all in one song necessarily but as an album i think it shows the band has a little bit more depth than just 60 minutes of listening to a monotone cookie monster lol.

Yea you got that right dude, lol. I dont think i understand the whole concept; therefore, I dont think its completely fair for me to judge them solely on their musical skills. (Or in this case lack of musical skills...)

For metal to be good you shouldnt have to get into it. It should get into you.

This makes sense. Idk Lamb of God is much more appealing to me. Less constant squealing.

Cannibal Corpse isnt really allowed into me lol....

You know you love hearing those same repetitive blast beats on the drums over and over accompanied by the same fast trem picked guitar riffs, wanked, chromatic guitar solos and Chris Barnes farting into the mic! I'm glad I can't understand him. I made the mistake of reading the lyrics to "Tomb Of The Mutilated". What kind of sick... :O

Well then, dudette it is. I pictured you as a boy eating a bowl of coleslaw while watching a james bond movie. So it may be difficult to get that mental image outta my head haha. Curse silly girls and their misleading user names!:P

ahhhhhh yeaaaa that really gets me going. Im pretty sure their mission was to just be known as the band that you can never ever let your parents catch you listening to. That whole album is FUBAR'd big time.
