    For some weird reason...

    CRAYFISH

Not sure why, but always been afraid of them pinching me even though I know it doesn't hurt. Really odd.

    Water. JuneBugs. Needles.

I used to be terrified of Manhole covers and Sewer Grates too. But I got over that.

Yea like i always compared it to a croc or gator. You see they have big heads and their mouths are big too. This is normal... Horses on the other hand, have similar large heads yet they have tiny mouths. You look at them though and their jaw muscles are HUGE. I fed a horse once and it bit me. Ever since then ive been afraid that if i go to feed one my arm will just get sucked up into their mouths and their huge jaws will just crush my hand and bite off my arm.
Like i said though, it doesnt affect my daily life bc i cant think of any situation where id be forced to get up close and personal with a horse lol.

    Common house centipede..

Certain spiders. (I don't mind tarantulas but the smaller and faster moving the spider is, the more it freaks me out).

    Dobsonfly...

    And their creepy larvae: Hellgrammite.

Plus I have a mild public/social anxiety when in certain places, in crowds, or around people I don't know.

Well I'm a tattooed student pilot so I guess that rules out needles and heights. I had horses when I was younger, so no hippophobia here (Mike-horses are total herbivores, they don't want your arm LOL!). I get the tune to Madagascar stuck in my head all the time, so lemurs are OK.

I'm not thrilled with insects. If they just stay where they are and don't go all a-flying around my head then I'm OK...but darn June bugs seem to have no sense of direction except towards me.

What I really don't like is small, closed in spaces. Dark, dank elevators are the worst. And oh em gee...the little tram thingie that goes to the top of the St. Louis Arch, they cram like 10 people in there too, that thing was the worst. And the elevator to the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago...Along those lines, crowds make me a little uneasy, but I think that's just cause people are all bumping into me and stuff.

    I have the normal ones,

    scared of the dark
scared of heights, which is actually the fear of falling

Then I have a really weird one...but it does have a name!!!
    sidonglobophobia

....the fear of cotton balls, yeah...

I HATE cotton balls. I have chills going up my spine just thinking about them right now. They are like nails on a chalkboard to me. The sound when you squish it, the feeling, all of it makes me shiver. We had this discussion at work because we were hanging those cotton spider web things and I was shivering and telling people I could not help with that, and then I was forced to admit I was crazy, lol. The gal who sits next to me looked it up and says "hey you have a real phobia!"
