Mine aren't anything like that DemmBalls. My males has never biten me. The female used to when she was small but she's really chill now. I've heard that about the pure SD though. They tend to be much more laid back and relaxed. I know of a few other people with snakes from the same breeder I got mine from and they are just like mine. I've heard that is a distinguisher between true SD lines and others. Who knows :) Either way, I love my pair. I can't wait to produce with them next season. I think I have them spoken for already :)

That's actually where my girl is funny. If there are no rats in the room and no rats thawing...I can handle her with no hook. The minute you throw a rat into the mix...LOOK OUT! She's a total baby aside from feeding time. It's just that feeding response...

I thought Travis Kubes did have a pure SD line? Am I mistaken? I believe the Sire was around 5' and the Dam 7'.

I LOVE super dwarf retics! I have a pair of tiger super dwarves, and they are both super sweet and easy to feed and handle. I like that they are very active and seem more inquisitive and personable than any other types of snakes I have owned. I realize that being morph super dwarves they aren't completely pure super dwarf and may get a bit bigger, but even so, they are slender snakes, and an eight foot super dwarf retic feels nothing like a heavy-bodied eight foot boa constrictor and is much easier to handle from my experience. To me the patterns on retics (especially the tigers) have to be some of the prettiest snake patterns out there, and they also have an incredible iridescent shimmer similar to what you see on rainbow boas. The "normal" color of retics is quite pretty, as are the morph colors. I really like the purple albinos, which are bright yellow with purple highlights and great contrast in their patterns. Currently I am saving up to purchase a female (hopefully purple) albino het for anery. Since my male tiger super dwarf is het for both albino and anery, I would like to find a female that carries both genes and can produce tiger albino, anery and snow super dwarves with him in the future. I also hope to produce super tiger super dwarves with my tiger pair, possibly as early as next year. The fancy morphs are extremely expensive and pretty hard to find in super dwarf size, but they are worth it to me as investment snakes. Seriously if I had to reduce my collection to just a few, the super dwarf retics are probably the ones I would most want to keep. To me they are the ultimate snakes! :gj:
