^ Get him healthy and up to weight then find him a good home. Use the money you get from rehoming him towards a better breeder-worthy bee. You'll be grateful you did. My .02

If you want to breed him then for sure, do it! :) now will he make any money worthy off spring? Maybe not. Could you find something better to pair your female to? Absolutely. But if you want to see what he throws and get into breeding then go for it. Worst case if the offspring don't sell, you can see if a local pet store will buy them, or just donate them.

If his off springs held his odd coloring... I think he'd look really interesting in certain morphs... I'll try to get some pictures of up tonight with my t2i.

Please don't call it a rescue if your only intent is to breed it. Just like the other breeder who "rescued" him. It's not a rescue if you get him, then flip it because you have no use for it.

OP...before listening to all the naysayers saying don't breed him, check RDR's birthing records and see what he can produce with browned out Pastels. Check out the last couple of years and look at the pics of Pastel "Mom on eggs"...there's more to "selective breeding" than just picking the best examples of morphs and throwing them together...

Then what would you consider it? If someone saves the animal life by feeding it and taking care of it an have the intention to breed it or not it is a rescue... It's not like I'm throwing him in to breed now... no.. It's gonna be a year probably.
