I am not going to argue with everyones opinions because we are all here to help.;)
I just know trying to get huge nasty lugis out of a boas mouth that doesnt want your help SUCKS!!!
After this I tripple clean everything with green soap, then chlorohex, and finally with F10. I know it is overkill but I also saw how quikly it set in on the boa and how fast it went from bubbly saliva to thick yellow sticky snotty stuff.

    Rob,
I use the F10 detergent (f10sc XD) a steam sanatizer, a second Chlorahexidine soap (bactistat chg) and then F10sc in the end, every month.

Yes, OP, clean, clean, clean! is important most ri is caused by bacteria so kill it all. (fungus accounts for a little bit and virus for even less thank goodness) I would still go to the vet however. ;)

My friends who own a reptile store treat RI rescues with the fogging method with great success.it s less invasive for the snake and less stressful than injections or a lung wash
However, it only works if the RI is bacterial. If its viral, then there is no treatment. But then again, viral RI is pretty rare.

Having the snake inhale more humid air and moistore doesnt seem like the best idea haha, but obviously it worked for pit!

I believe it's marketed in America as a disinfectant because it hasn't been approved for use as a medication for animals/reptiles. It is sold for use with a fogger medicinally in other parts of the world.

Kari is correct that is also why the rest of the line is not sold in the US but it can be ordered from the us distributer. I am in Canada and it is cheaper and faster for me to order from the UK for some unexplained reason...
