Until you put rubber on the road again, you have some extra time to put into your herps. :snake: :gj:

Just an update I am home now and the cut on my leg from the amputation is almost all the way closed up. I plan on getting back on two wheels some day but your right until then it's more time for herps! Gotta stay busy!

I am SO glad that you are alive, I think I actually may have heard about that wreck. I am truly sorry about your leg, I remember how difficult it was for my dad when he lost his. I wish you a speedy and healthy recovery - and I hope that proper measures are taken with those teenagers so they learn the consequences of their action and how it can drastically affect another person's life.

I have permanent leg damage from a similar accident where a guy ran a red light and T-boned me. I almost lost my leg as well, but was extremely lucky. I've already had 3 surgeries since 2008 and have two more to get out of the way.

    Wishing you the best!

I'm happy to hear you are recovering well and at home.
Lost a dear friend to a motorcycle accident just yesterday here in the Dallas/ Garland area. And I was a rider myself until an accident ( granted mine was due to my own stupidity.)

I hope your recovery continues and you get back on two wheels when the time comes. I have been back on a bike a few times since and even with everything I think I will still end up back on a bike down the road sometime.

    Cheering for you!

I lost a friend last week. Just be glad you went down and got back up.
We all (not the drug store bikers ;)) ride to be free, feel free, and live free.

Now to be the cold hearted guy, just because I know you couldnt wait to see her when you got how: How is the scooter? and what model dyna?

I love my FXR and I know it couldnt be replaced.

I'm a rider too. Cruisers. 07' Victory Kingpin Tour

You sound to be in high spirits considering what you have been through. I'm glad you still want to ride. You should be able to get the brake working with some practice. If your gonna loose a foot I would pick that one. Much rather relearn how to use the brake over the shifter.

The whole thing sucks but I'm glad you are not letting it keep you down. Stay strong and you will be back on two wheels in no time.

I think motorcycles are like snakes, until you have one you just don't understand.

What's your new bike gonna be?

It was a 2008 FXDB and it was one of the first questions I asked my wife. "how bad is my bike?" to be honest with you I new it was tore up before she even told me. I haven't decided what my next one will be yet.
