Hey Kevin :)
Know how you feel. Me and my partner are scrimping and saving to get our own place because we can't get more animals yet. He has his heart set on a Blue Tongued Skink and me obviously more BPs... But with me out of a job we cant even afford to think about what sort of place we'd like. We don't live together either so he has one snake and I have our other :( Its a nightmare! The jobs here are so few and far between as well that it could be a LONG time before I get another job :( Very impatient. But we're just trying to make the time until we move in together as enjoyable as possible :) Been on a couple of road trips and breaks to visit family to take our minds off it.

Well add me to the "buzz kill" section. Things don't always work out the way you think and to the poster that said RNs are guaranteed a job, please talk to my usual clinic which is closing shop and everyone is out of work and out of luck.
I'm part of this "new economy" I used to be making $30-35/hour, salaried, but then some idiots blew up a couple of buildings and I haven't had gainful employment since. Hourly work won't hire me unless I lie about having degrees, going back to school for a bit made it worse, and "real jobs" consider me overqualified. I'm in my 30s and don't have a living situation - just some nice people who offer their sofas and my herps live with relatives. (I don't get to see them thanks to the price of gas...)
Like many others here, I'd do many bad things to be back at your age again... I'd be working and have more than enough money for a house and pretty much anything I wanted. But, the fact of the matter is... everything can change in the blink of an eye. Back then I had it all, even a retirement account! LOL I guess all I'm saying is, I wouldn't count on anything and I wouldn't be too upset that things are perfect as it seems you have more than most: a roof, an income, and a hope of a future. I'd settle for just a regular paycheck of any amount right now...

I'm in my 30s and currently renting from a relative for 9 months out of the year and get desperate the other 3 trying to find a sofa, this is my 3rd year since we lost our apartment. Luckily, my family has tolerated my herps and they've let them live on the farm, but there really isn't room for the humans. My fiance goes over before his overnight shift (retail, try two people living off of that paycheck) and feeds them every 3 nights... I barely get to see them. Because of the price of gas, I only go if feeding night doesn't fall on his work night.

Ok you are correct i shouldnt use absolutes like the word "guranteed" but theres a very, very strong chance you will get a job if you have a BSN. You may have to relocate a bit for it but theres plenty out there. You would really have to not be trying if you cant find a job with a BSN.
