I have never really had much problem with snake's musking except for the garter. And believe me Kori, if you ever get musked you will never forget the smell.

Musking is, as Rusty said, a defensive procedure that some colubrids are
known for. It means that they crap/pee on you when they feel threatened. And they fling it all over the place. Makes one feel inclined to put them
back right where you found them. But with frequent handling, they quickly
get used to contact and learn that you aren't going to eat them.
I currently have two corn snakes and really enjoy both of them. They are
very tame, very curious, and colorful. (Click on the link below my name
to see mine).

I breed corns, I got hooked on all the different colors. They are fun with really cool personalities I have albinos, creamsicles, blood reds, albino blood reds, snows, anerys, a ghost stripe, motley sunglows, crimsons, motley hypos, a pastel, and I bred a raly nice motley coral snow last season. But my true love are my ball pythons. I have 1.1 100% :D het pieds I bred for the first time this season. I should have eggs in about 8 days!!
