3 1/2 months, and it drove me nuts. As far as why, they don't even always need a reason. But husbandry issues, and breeding season are biggies.

Keeping proper temperatures and providing good hides is key to having your BP eat. It doesn't take much variance from the ideal temperatures (78-82 cool side, 88-92 hot side) to stress them out enough to stop eating.
I have a Female Pinstripe in the same rack as most of my ball Pythons, she goes off food for three to seven monthes, every year, and she is the only one with a hide. Then eats like there is no tomorrow. I think some morphs are more prone to doing this, like Pinstripes. IMO !
