I just started the betadine and polysporin on him this past few days. I pop him slightly and flush the hemipene. Then spread polysporin on. If this dont show vast imporvement, Ill try the Prep H to get it down more so it can retract back where it belongs.

Any special Prep H needed for this

Looks like whatever you're doing is helping

He doesn't look too far away from being on his way to recovery

Tihe kind I always used looked like Polysporin

Looked at it and its just plain ol Prep H ointment, no pain killer or anything

My pastel experience this a month or so ago. He's almost back to normal now. It's amazing how long it can take to recover from.

Hes going into shed which is about right, Since hes a frequent shedder. I did another cleaning today and taped it up to hold it in longer.

Im gonna try the Prep H Tomorrow, to try and reduce it faster before he sheds. Casue im sure the shed will irritate it more

Heres an update of a weeks worth of using Prep H. Hes in shed right now, have to wait after a shed on how itll look.

Each time i pop it a lil theres what looks like tried up plugs I keep pulling out. Soon I will try to do a full popping to get it fully out to clean it up and put more prep h on it better.

Well i just popped it didnt want to wait. The Hemi isnt swollen, but the base of of it is swollen and is white with lil red to it. Popped it, pulled out the nasty dried out sperm plugs from the good hemi and the bad. Then added more prep h. then pushed in it a bit.

Doing this should get that base to stop being swollen now that the prep h is deeper inthere

How often does something like this occur?

In your first picture he's thinking "Let me back in with her! It's only a scratch:please:!"

Its not that common, but does happen.

It looks like he didnt injur his Hemis at all. But the base of the right hemi is the swollen one. Which connects to the rectum tissue a bit. I check my males before pairing them up and he was fien before this.

So my guess is he was rough, and she pulled away causing a hyper extension type thing and it became inflamed. Should be fully healed up well before next season, if i plan on keeping him since i have 2.1 bees already.

If i keep him or sell him just will have to keep closer eye on how he breeds so he dont get all out of control again.
