I have also looked a study that suggested that a period of no food followed by a large meal was not as efficient for the snake the digestive system during fasts drops and goes in to a sort of stand by mode, with food it comes back up this takes a period of time ranging from a few hours to a day. The digestive system is not running as efficiently during this build up so there is less nutrition pulled from the prey and more energy is expended. It just seemed logical to use smaller meals and more often and not allow dormancy.

I feed my snake every Friday. It works perfectly. I keep him at the office so feeding on Friday allows him to be by himself for two days following feeding, then when I come in on Monday I handle him again.
