What do "normal" people do with dry ice?

I just ordered some frozen rats and I filled my bathtup up with warm water and then dumped the dry ice in it....you can say I was bored....nevertheless it was pretty sweet haha.

I tell the truth, Im very blunt in person and come off rude at times. IDC

I was at dollar store other night buying 28 6qt tubs with out the lids. I was asked what are they for if i didnt need the lids. I said for Snakes.

My gun shop knows my co2 i buy from him is for rodents, he dont care. When i buy 30 rolls paper towel at once they ask and I tell, for my snakes.

Ive never lied or hide what I love. Dont like my answer, learn not the ask

I've used dry ice in an ice chest filled with game meat to take it to the butcher. Of course people might be just as squimish with that excuse.

Just tell them you need something to keep your drinks extra cold. lol

If you don' t want to tell them it is for rodents, then tell them it is for a fog machine...

I have to agree with Rich. I don't hide what I love. Bought like 30 something 6 quart tubs at the dollar store for my hatchlings. Lady at the register asks me, "What on earth are you organizing ?" I told her, "You don't want to know." Well, everyone knows that is the magic phrase to make people just have to shove their nose in your business.

So she says, "Well now I just have to know, I won't stop bugging you until you tell me." I shrugged and said, "I did warn you. I breed pythons, and these are for raising my hatchling snakes." The blood drained out of her head and I was sure she was going to pass out. She swallowed hard a couple of times, and asked in a shaky voice, "You raise pythons ? Those dangerous snakes I see on TV ? How on earth do you make them stay in these ? They can escape can't they ?!" by now there was a touch of hysteria in her voice.

I shook my head at her. "No, I do not raise the giant pythons, I keep ball pythons that only grow to about 5 feet long. These tubs are for brand new baby pythons, tiny little things not much bigger than a magic marker. If one ever did get out, it would never make it past my lawn because of predators or bad weather, they are not really hardy and are certainly not dangerous." She blinked a few times and took a few deep breaths. She relaxed enough to check me out, but now when I go in and buy more than 5 of any single thing, she clamps her mouth shut and doesn't say a thing.

I've had a few people give me weird looks over the things I buy, but I tell them the truth. Someone at Wal-Mart asked me what all the big sterilite tubs were for. I told him for my mice colony. He gets a really puzzled look on his face and what's to know what on earth I keep mice for. I told him to feed my snakes. He suddenly decided he didn't want to talk to me anymore. If I ever bought dry ice and someone wanted to know why, I'd tell them straight up " To make a rat gas chamber." If they had the nerve after that to ask me what on earth for, I'd be happy to explain.

i went on a big mahi mahi fishing trip in key west a few summers ago and we used it to keep the meat frozen to send it back 2 jersey

She probably thought u were making hash or providing c02 for your plants:D

I wouldn't mind talking to them if it wasn't the night before Valentines Day and Publix is predominantly stocked with men holding last minute flowers with a panic stricken look on their face and I wasn't in a hurry with my sweat pants, hoodie, no makeup or some necessary undergarments.
