You can never make a snake enclosure 100% escape proof because of human error, but with care escapes can be prevented. It is good that you can have a snake in your house now. Follow my instructions or the instructions in the link posted and you should be good to go.

Not to be off topic..but 55 cold? Really? I'd LOVE for it to be 55 here!! It was 6 this morning when I got up...haha!

I see the uth they had on their and it's different than mines it the one you put under the tank and it sticks can I still use that one?

I mean 55 degrees is cold to keep a snake in the garage. VEXER19
was talking about how it doesn't get that cold in Socal being next to the desert.

But I personally think 55 is cool. haha. Summer in Norcal is 80-105 degrees and up till this week, it was a comfortable 65-70. >_<;;

Yeah. You can use that UTH. I've used some stick on heat pads, but I didn't actually removed the sticky adhesive and physically attach the pad to the tub.

Yes that will work. Flexwatt, heat mats, and the many different UTH's all use resistive heating elements to produce heat. The only differences are size, wattage, and packaging. As long as you cover 1/3 of the bottom of the tub and it is regulated by a thermostat it will work.
