Out of 8 animals, I have 2 that aren't named....both of them the boyfriends. He doesn't name animals....I do. It drives me nuts they aren't named yet lol. And it aggravates me just as much that when I say their name to them, he's like "who?" so I have to tell him My Burm or My dumerils....or The Ball Python.

Apparently we just rescued a black cat that's been hanging around since we moved here. Guess I'll be naming that one too

I like naming them. I usually get some pretty weird suggestions from my 4y/o.
I guess if I ever got up in the 30's or so I might have to stop. Like Leah said I'd just start running out of creativity by then.:)

I name every one of my holdbacks. It's simply easier to keep track of their individual quirks and needs, when I can associate them with a name.
I can say "Kokopeli is locked with Ahera", instead of 'A-245 is locked with B-342'. :P

A snake's not officially a holdback until I've named it. I did have one snake that was for sale at first, that we decided to hold back much later...we'd gotten so used to calling him by his number by then, that it became his name. That was the only one, though, lol.

I just refer to all of my snakes by their sex/morph/species.
Only the animals that can respond to it get names around here.

I name everything I cuttently have but won't be naming the offspring that will be for sale or trade.
