I think the word you are looking for is insulating.

That heat rock may get too hot for your snake and cause burns on her belly.

hot rocks have been known to "short out" and get extremely hot. they are designed more for desert lizards than sub-tropical african snakes.otherwise looks better just make sure the aluminum lamp cover doesn't get too hot (no hotter than 37 Celsius)
