    We had a horrible outbreak from a new arrival several years ago and I used Sawyer® Permethrin Insect Repellent Aerosol Spray from Scheels. Same ingredients as PAM but cheaper and easier to get hold of.

    At the time we used paper as our substrate so I pretreated enough paper (letting it dry first) for several cleanings. Worked like a charm.

    I treat my hiking clothes with permethrin, never would have thought to use it on the cages.

    I will stick to something that says for reptiles on the box though.
