ooooh didn't see the last post, there is definitely some "flameage" there on the sides, but how coloration is like a browned out pastel, strange!

here is our pair. both of them i consider to be of low overall quality, but my boyfriend picked them out. the male was picked for his ridiculous side-pattern, and AWESOME flames that have only gotten better with age and the female was chosen for her brightness. (might also have had something to do with the fact that it felt like she was longingly staring into my soul while i was holding her) when she was little she was bright yellow, almost like a pastave.

    but anyways, here's the male:

and the female now. unfortunately she has lost a lot of her gorgeous yellow color with age:

That's definitely a Pastel, no doubt about it. Pretty nice one too but not a Mojave or Pastave.

here is my Mojave. Why is it that mine has the stripe down its back and most that I see don't have this - is this a bad thing/trait??

i quite enjoy the stripe down your mojo's back! my female has it on her tail too, and i like it. who knows, we all know how patterns and colors can vary even with the same morph.

The head has an almost axanthic look to it. I dont see pastel, but majority rules i suppose. If thats a pastel, thats the most unique looking pastel ive seen yet. Keep us updated with pics as it gets older. Id like to see this thing as an adult!

    Update!
So we were told by the seller that he came from Corey Woods, and so I was looking through his 2011 clutches and by matching up his pattern, I was able to positively ID our guy in 'clutch 5', Orange Ghost Het Red Axanthic x Pastel Het Orange Ghost. In the picture, he is labeled as Pastel HRA HOG. Would explain why he is so washed out looking, and would explain why he certainly does not look like a mojave!

If that's true, maybe you didn't get such a bad deal on him after all. He would be 100% het orange ghost, and possibly het red axanthic. (Sounds like he thought he was).

Strange how he wound up being sold as a mojave! Well, you can put him with an orange ghost or orange ghost het female at some point, and make pastel orange ghosts.

see now pastel het red is so much more believable haha it fits the description better they have the fading on the head too! what a deal for $100! Pair him up with a het ghost that would be hot
