So if I do that, and the female coils around it, that means she's ready for the breeding season? Or not always it means she will breed? I read that bowl wraping is a good sign, but does it actually tell me something about the female or not at all?

Dont mean they are ready to breed, I only do this for females i Know are breeding.

It will help get the females in mood faster

My female I am breeding right now is rarely on the cool side, mostly coiled inside the hide on the warm side. Does this mean anything? I have moved my male 3 times now, and I will continue until I see an ovulation.

Ps. Should I remove the hide?

    Very cool idea Rich!!!!
    I love the brainstorming here:gj::gj::gj:

Funny thing is, I have had the debate with a couple of my fellow breeders around here to cool or not to cool. I am the "new" first year breeder that knows nothing but was not planning on cooling at all. This is a neat idea that I might try.

It works out very well for females needing a boost.

As for the hides, Take them out when pairing or one will hide away.

Some females not fully ready will still be heat seeking. More you pair the more she will bowl wrap

Just Updating How well the Trick works.

Same female in first post, is on verge of ovulating any day. She had her first lock sept 2nd and now has 9 massive follicles.

I'll try this for my female is not in the mood to mate ..
This is my first time I will breed so why not try this ..
Is not much to do as everyone else and the temp is lowered ..
My male is with her now but to remove him later when nothing happens ..
When you place the male to female?
How long are you doing this with water?
    Before you enter the male?

This is done after males are separated from pairings. Then i give cold water as females tend to bowl wrap more after a pairing
