looks like marker to me too...if it were blood, it would be more brownish or red if it were fresh .....

could be, i never really look at the newspaper i put down lol but seeing that surprised me. but i still dont know what it is.

That looks like marker to me as well. I'd say just give her a quick once-over to check for any injuries, and if she's all good, then it's probably just from a marker.

It looks like an ink smudge on the paper. Change it and maybe use plain paper for the moment and keep an eye out or anything else.

Well, not to be a PITA, but t could be the feeder, the snake doesn't have to touch the rat for it to bleed... Specifically if it is FT... Have you never seen the bloody frozen mice/rat bags at petsmart? Have you never had a rat spill a few blood out of the nose/mouth while thawing?
