I recently got my first Carpet. I love her....she is sometimes very cage aggressive. But, once she's out. She's a nice bracelet....good luck. Make sure to post many pictures!

First thing, do you have any experience with a snake larger than a corn? or an animal that is going to like to bite you.... A baby carpet will be your best friend if you like to get bit. If you dont mind getting bit and get to the point in life where they calm down, you will be fine. Bredli are one of the largest carpets (costals are the only one I know of larger) and that may be a concern.. If you are not okay with a potentially 8ft adult you may want an iran jaya or jungle something that stays smaller.

As long as you know what you are getting into, and are prepared I wouldnt hesitate.

    Very cool.

    :D

Anway lol, yes they are very active, curious, and AWARE of their surroundings. My jcp would be perched on his branch and I'll be doing things in my room and he will be constantly watching me. He used to be cage aggressive and I've had my fair share of bites already. But after that, they are awesome snakes and a joy to have. For me, hands down, more fun than a ball python.

Ive got a hybrid python thats a cross between a macklotts python and a coastal carpet python (called a Junglot python produced by NERD). Very tame snake after handled a few times and veryyy active compared to boa's and bps. When i open up the closet and light shines in it doesnt hide it comes out and sees whats up. Coolest attitude and absolutely voracious eater too its ridiculous. My favorite snake in my whole collection . Carpet pythons are my favorite snake because of there awesome attitude, very active, get pretty big, and are aggresive feeders. A lot more fun than a bp in my opinionas a pet (but i do love my bp morphs :)):gj::gj:

    Carpets are way cool.

I just acquired my Bredli on Sept. 24. They have quite the personalities. Mine has been just awesome so far and she is fairly docile, although she is a 2010. I would really recommend this snake if you're getting into Carpets. I'd also suggest Jungle and Jag Carpets, their pattern is stunning.
