    I have a small group of asf I don't breed them in huge numbers but I have never had a bite from one,, I think alot of that reputation is from them not being captive bred for very long, I'm sure norway rats had a nasty reputation when they were first being bred from the wild.

    Honestly I breed both. I got my ASF from a good stock so they are very nice and do not bite or chew. They are great ...... except they grow slow compared to rats. It's crazy annoying.

    I prefer rats. Besides, one of my rats has just as many babies as my ASFs. So.
