glad you found the little bugger!

i should post some of the photos of my snakes great escape at the beginning of September. i've had so many escapes now (all human error) that when a snake gets out i just wait for it to turn up. our room is always sealed off and we don't have heat vents they could go in.

i only get worried when it's an itty bitty corn!

Wow and Jason is late to the party again. Congrats on finding him. I can relate to your relief.

This is going to sound really dumb, but it works... It's a trick that can make some picky snakes eat, but once I used it to coax a friend's python out of a wall (don't ask, he's dumb... The friend, not the snake.)

Get some chicken livers from a grocery store, or boil up some beef broth, be sure to let it cool off first (lol,) then dip a live mouse or rat pup in it, or in the blood that the livers are packed in. Then put it in a container with lots of holes (the little critter carriers work well.) Then just set it out in the middle of the room. If you have a little fan, point it at it. The scent, and the heat from the mouse will draw them out.

I hope that helps, and good luck in finding your baby!!! Keep us posted.

LMAO @ self! :stupidme: I guess it would help if I noticed the post had more than one page before replying.

Oh, whew, so glad to hear it.

My super mojo got out the other day during feeding, and after 15 minutes of looking, I just heaved a sigh and started sprinkling talcum powder along the walls and in all the corners. And when I got to the closet, I saw I was sprinkling powder on something white down near the baseboard. And there was Noodle. With powder on her head.

(I really do recommend the talcum powder trick if you can't find a snake in the first couple hours. Talcum powder, and water bowls in the bathroom. Then at least you know where they've been visiting.)
