I agree that BPs are a bit boring. I do enjoy handling my boa and retic more. As for sand boas, I did have a couple of those years ago and I love them. I think they look like the sand worms in beetlejuice ;)
Of course nothing beats field herping and handling wild black rats, fox snakes and such. Nothing boring there!
