I have noticed, within my own collection, that different animals seem to prefer different humidity levels. I have one male in particular that will have a stuck shed if his humidity drops much below 50% for any extended period of time. My biak sheds and defecates perfect no matter how low her humidity drops. Also...I always raise humidity levels during shed cycles.
I've had much the same experience. it is highly dependent on the individual but as a general rule, high humidity is essential, just not for more than a few hours per day. however, people tend to over-saturate the enclosure because GTPs do come from such humid environment. I've had the best results misting every other day, especially since my sorong does seem to prefer drinking from his coils rather than the bowl
