I was in Williamsburg for the day, and was driving when it happened. Didn't feel a thing, didn't notice anything, didn't even know there was an earthquake until my mom texted to ask if I was ok. I feel cheated! :P

I just got back to my house in Ashland, 30 miles from the epicenter, and nothing's even knocked off the shelves or anything. Considering the hubbub on the news, it's pretty anticlimactic.

I was on a bridge when it happened and it was not a pleasant experience. When I got home a few things had been knocked off a shelf but no damage. Glad everyone seems to be okay!

Buildings around here don't have earthquake code like California, would be like Cali getting a major hurricane

Felt it here in Albany, NY. I was out on my deck and thought my dog was pushing up against the back of my chair then realized she wasn't. The deck was creaking and it felt like I was rolling...weird. My sister lives in Fairfax VA and a nephew works in DC, they said it really shook there. Another sister lives in Cary, NC and felt it as well.

I also feel a little cheated, I was walking through our plant when people started evacuating the building saying " We had an Earthquake". I got yelled at for stopping at the vending machines before evacuating lol
