Oh, I would have liked her with the color going higher up---she's pretty dark compared to some of the fantastic ones being posted on this thread.
BUT she's clearly an enchi. She does have the color, especially around her tail, and really obvious banding. You don't see so many enchis for sale with that really classic banding. And she eats like a PIG: This is a picture of her giving me the stink eye because I haven't fed her in three. Whole. Days. I admit, it's nicer to have a snake with an appetite sometimes! Especially the females.

It seems to me that I see pictures of European Enchis and many of those are way nicer. I'm sure that didn't help promote the morph much, either.
I can't comment on your market speculation, I just don't know enough. But the european vs. American enchi comment sure is interesting---any breeders in particular you've noticed with really outstanding animals?

My comment doesn't have a terribly scientific basis at all; just an observation based on Internet pictures  . Like this forum, for example - the majority of Enchis pictured are from England (the ones from Robin and Matt Ghi notwithstanding) and most of 'em are pretty darn nice looking :)

... I feel like a random sampling of American-bred Enchis, by contrast, will contain a lot of mediocre ones, some really bad ones and a few really good ones. It makes sense to me, really -- I mean, the morph originated in Europe, so I would imagine that they have been selectively bred over there for longer.
