I'd've had a really hard time walking away from that Angolan too. She's gorgeous! Super pics - thanks for taking us with you! :gj:

That's what I was thinking! Just couldn't remember if that was the Uromastyx, since I saw so many lizards there.

The sleeping lizards are Mexican beaded lizards.
Thanks for the ID... very cool animals, huh?

And holy testicle Tuesday, how the hell did they get a freaking TIGER in there? O.o She wasn't for sale, was she?
As somebody else said, they were from a local exotic rescue - so no, she was NOT for sale! I also got a video of her, and just uploaded it to share (click to play). Poor thing didn't look happy to be there, but she was absolutely gorgeous...

You're welcome, and thanks everyone for the comments! :)

It was difficult to walk away from that Angolan, but I literally didn't have the money anyway... it was $1900/pair or $900 for a single male, and I have like $400 until next payday. Don't think they were offering layaway either, LOL. I have a list of "someday they'll be in my collection" snakes, and Angolans (along with GTPs, Retics & BRBs) are definitely on that list now! Did you know they have beaded skin? Felt sooooo cool.

Yeah, it was really really beautiful... and I think you need a special permit to own them, at least here in California. It wasn't for sale (along with the rattler), just on display from a rescue/research society.

Like I said, it was strictly financial! Believe me, if I had tons of extra money right now, I'd have left with an armful of snakes... LOL.

Yeah, they are pretty cool. They're related to gila monsters and I'm pretty sure they have venom, too.

Yeah, she looks pretty anxious. I'm amazed the convention center allowed her in.
