Well as in Window of how much i cut it really doesnt have any adverse affects that i have ever run into . i follow same routine every clutch and its never hurt or affected my eggs in any way....

Still curious, the snakes in the eggs are white and gray .... Is it just the lighting?

The color comes in later on baby ball pythons, they will develop more color as they mature in the egg and moreso when they hatch and have their first shed! I remember seeing some crazy spiders(or bees?) that looked pure black and white until they hatched out of the egg, it just meant they weren't all the way 'cooked' yet! :D
